Michele Carey, also known as Michele Lee Henson, is the daughter of Stanley Willard Henson, Jr, who was a doctor, and Thelma Burell Henson. Her birthplace was Annapolis, Maryland, United States of America in 26 February 1942. While still a teenager she performed well on the piano. At just 13 she was crowned the winner of an international competition in the Chicago Music Festival. Her home was within Fort Collins, Colorado with her family and had her high school education at Fort Collins High School where she completed her studies in 1960.
