Brandi passante gained fame after her appearance on the A&E show 'Storage wars' reality show that starred Jarrod Schulz. Both of them gained mainstream recognition through this series. In this reality show, items from storage lockers where rent is not paid after three months of rent will be auctioned. Brandi and Jarrod who run the "Now and Then" thrift shop located in Orange, California participated in the auction with hopes of being able to purchase storage units at low prices. They didn't realize that this show was going to make them reality stars! In the course of the show, the couple showed themselves to be professional and experienced bidders. They were the main characters. Their popularity on the show's reality boosted their business and they were able to open another shop in addition to the one they were running. The success of their 'Storage War' appearance resulted in a spinoff show called 'Brandi and Jarrod married to work' which focused exclusively on the couple.
