Allison Brooks Janney is an American actress who was born on November 19, 1959. In her nearly more than three decades, Allison Brooks Janney has been praised as a stage actress and a film actor for her performances. Janney has been the recipient of numerous awards. They include the Academy Award, a British Academy Film Award along with several others. She also received Seven Primetime Emmy Awards. In addition, two Tony Awards were nominated. Janney is originally from Boston and raised near Dayton the city of Dayton in Ohio. The award was for a study at The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art when she completed her studies at Kenyon College. Janney was first seen on TV at the age of 1999. She appeared as C. J. Cregg in NBC's political show The West Wing from 1999-2006, where she received Four Primetime Emmy Awards. Janney got an award called the Primetime Emmy Award in 2014 for Outstanding Actresses in Drama Series. She won this award due to her character Margaret Scully in Showtime's drama Masters of Sex. Janney has been nominated for Six Primetime Emmy Awards, and she took home two awards for Outstanding Supporting Actress in Comedy Drama Series.
